Located on the open plains of the Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory, Walhallow Station stretches across 999,700 hectares of grazing land. The property’s diverse land systems include Mitchell grass downs, Coolabah woodlands and Spinifex desert.
An iconic cattle station of the Top End, Walhallow was purchased by Paraway in 2009. Today Walhallow runs approximately 50,000 cattle, breeding Brahman and Brahman-cross calves. Walhallow regularly sells cattle to Paraway’s fattening properties in Northern Queensland to grow out.
The station is home to more than 20 permanent and seasonal employees.
The main homestead includes living quarters and cottages, a staff kitchen and recreation club. Although remote, Walhallow is an active participant in the rural community. Each year Walhallow staff participate in a number of events on the Barkly Tableland, including the Barkly Women’s Day and the Brunette Downs Races.
